Project Overview
AA1 Duran Roofing completed the reroofing of TECH @ Edison Education Center, installing a high-performance SBS modified bitumen roofing system engineered to improve waterproofing, durability, and long-term building protection. The project included complete roof removal, perimeter metal blocking, tapered insulation, flashings, coping metal, roof drains, overflow scuppers, and custom sheet metal components.
Construction began on March 16, 2022, and was successfully completed on May 8, 2023. Throughout the project, our team maintained close coordination with Miami-Dade County Public Schools to safely complete the work while maintaining quality workmanship and minimizing disruption to daily campus operations.
The scope also included copper drain flashings, pipe and conduit flashings, masonry fastening systems, counterflashings, overflow drainage improvements, coping installation, stucco repairs, and finish painting to provide a complete, durable, and watertight roofing assembly. Every phase was completed in accordance with project specifications and industry best practices.
